IN THE INTEREST OF R.A.S., a Child

From the 456th District Court, Guadalupe County, Texas Trial Court No. 18-0158-CV-B Honorable Heather H. Wright, Judge Presiding

ORDER

Liza A. Rodriguez, Justice

Appellant's brief was initially due on September 25, 2024. When neither the brief nor a motion for extension of time was filed, we ordered appellant to file his appellant's brief on or before October 25, 2024. On October 25, 2024, appellant filed a motion requesting an extension of time to file his brief. We granted the motion and extended the time to file appellant's brief to November 25, 2024. To date, appellant has not filed his brief.

We therefore ORDER appellant to file, on or before December 23, 2024, his appellant's brief and a written response reasonably explaining (1) his failure to timely file his brief and (2) why appellee is not significantly injury by his failure to file a brief. If appellant fails to file a brief and the written response by December 23, 2024, this appeal will be dismissed for want of prosecution. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a); see also TEX. R. APP. P. 42.3(c) (allowing involuntary dismissal if appellant has failed to comply with a court order).
