In the Interest of R.A.L., a Child

310th District Court of Harris County Trial court case number: 2021-01001

ORDER

Amparo Monique Guerra, Judge

Appellant, mother, filed a notice of appeal from the trial court's April 29, 2024 Final Decree in Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship. On July 22, 2024, appellant filed her appellant's brief In an appeal arising out of a suit affecting the parent-child relationship, any "minor must be identified only by an alias" in "all papers submitted to the court, including all appendix items submitted with a brief" See Tex. R. App. P. 9.9(b).

In multiple instances in her brief and appendix, appellant failed to identify the minor child at issue in the appeal by an alias, or to otherwise redact the minor child's name. Accordingly, appellant's brief fails to comply with Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 9.9(b), and the Court strikes appellant's brief.

Appellant's July 22, 2024 brief is stricken from the Court's records. Appellant is further directed to file an amended brief complying with the Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure within five days of the date of this order. The Department's brief will be due twenty days after the date appellant files her amended brief.

It is so ORDERED.
