Administrative Order No. 2009-103, Replacing Admin. Order No. 2004-55
October 7, 2009.
On July 21, 2004, by Administrative Order No. 2004-55, the Court approved a new schedule of fees and filing deadlines for applicants for admission to the practice of law in Arizona. On June 3, 2009, by Administrative Order No. 2009-51, the Court amended the schedule of fees and filing deadlines pertaining to the Administrative Fee charged to applicants and establishing the filing deadlines for the February 2010 admission examination. A recent review of revenues and expenses for administration of the admission examination, character and fitness investigation and admission procedures indicates that the number of applicants has decreased approximately thirty percent in the past year and fees must be adjusted to ensure that these functions of the Court remain self supported. It is also necessary to establish filing deadlines for future admission examinations.
Therefore, pursuant to Rules 33 through 38 of the Arizona Rules of the Supreme Court, as amended, and Article VI, Section 3, of the Arizona Constitution,
IT IS ORDERED that the Schedule of Fees and Filing Deadlines in "Attachment A" is hereby adopted and effective as of January 1, 2010, replacing Administrative Order No. 2004-55 and Administrative Order No. 2009-51.
Dated this 7th day of October, 2009.
