This proceeding arises out of Cause No. 2022-CI-20075, styled Shonda Bryce, Individually and as Heir of the Estate of Taylor Bryce v. Pioneer Energy Services Corp., pending in the 37th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas, the Honorable Cynthia Marie Chapa presiding.

ORDER

PER CURIAM

On January 30, 2024, relators filed a petition for writ of mandamus and a motion for temporary relief. This court believes a serious question concerning the relief sought requires further consideration. See Tex.R.App.P. 52.8(b). The respondent, and the real parties in interest, may file a response to the petition no later than April 15, 2024. Any such response must conform to Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 52.4.

Relators' January 30, 2024, emergency motion to temporarily abate proceedings is GRANTED. We order that all proceedings in Cause No. 2022-CI-20075, pending in the 37th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas, are STAYED pending final disposition of relators' petition for writ of mandamus or further order of this court.

It is so ORDERED on March 15, 2024.
