No. 79841-3-I

06-15-2020

In re the Personal Restraint of: ANTHONY LEWIS BOX, Petitioner.

UNPUBLISHED OPINION

— Anthony Lewis Box challenges financial obligations imposed as part of his sentence for vehicular homicide and three counts of vehicular assault. He contends, and the State concedes, that he is indigent and that under 2018 statutory amendments and State v. Ramirez, 191 Wn.2d 732, 426 P.3d 714 (2018), the trial court erred in imposing a discretionary criminal filing fee and interest on non-restitution financial obligations. We accept the concession, grant the petition, and remand with directions to strike the criminal filing fee and non-restitution interest from the judgment and sentence.
