IN RE JOVANY PAREDES, Relator

ORIGINAL PROCEEDING WRIT OF MANDAMUS
308th District Court Harris County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. 2015-32671

MEMORANDUM OPINION

On October 11, 2017, relator Jovany Paredes filed a petition for writ of mandamus in this Court. See Tex. Gov't Code Ann. § 22.221 (West 2004); see also Tex. R. App. P. 52. In the petition, relator asks this Court to compel the Honorable James Lombardino, presiding judge of the 308th District Court of Harris County, to rule on relator's request for a free appellate record in relator's pending appeal. Those records have already been filed in relator's appeal. A civil litigant only needs to ask the court of appeals for a copy of those records.

Relator has not shown that he is entitled to mandamus relief. Accordingly, we deny relator's petition for writ of mandamus. We also deny as moot relator's motion for leave to file his petition for writ of mandamus and his motion to proceed in forma pauperis.

PER CURIAM Panel consists of Justices Christopher, Brown, and Wise.
