Opinion

No. 08-0433.

February 4, 2009.

Appeal from the Iowa District Court for Polk County, Michael D. Huppert, Judge.

Grandparents appeal the district court's decision denying their application for grandparent visitation. AFFIRMED.

Paul E. Norris and Judith M. Norris, Johnston, pro se appellants.

Andrew Howie of Hudson, Mallaney Shindler, P.C., West Des Moines, and Debra Hockett-Clark, West Des Moines, for appellee.

Considered by VOGEL, P.J., and MAHAN and MILLER, JJ.

Grandparents appeal the district court's decision denying their application for grandparent visitation. Although the grandparents' love for their grandchildren is apparent both from the record and their brief on appeal, they did not meet their burden of proof before the district court. As such, we affirm without opinion, pursuant to Iowa Rule of Appellate Procedure 6.24(1) and (4). We deny the appellee's request for attorney fees on appeal.

AFFIRMED.
