The application of petitioner's appellate counsel, the State Public Defender, for clarification of the court's September 19, 2018 letter and for a limited appointment is granted as follows. The State Public Defender will represent petitioner in proceedings in this court to resolve the question whether the court should transfer this petition to the sentencing court pursuant to Penal Code section 1509, subdivision (a).
The State Public Defender will have 30 days from the date of this order in which to serve and file a reply to the informal response filed on October 4, 2018.
Corrigan, J., was absent and did not participate.
