ORDER
By order entered October 3, 2023, this Court extended the time for Court Reporter LeeAnn Hollister (CER 6852) to file the transcripts in this priority appeal to October 20, 2023. By order entered November 1, 2023, upon Reporter Hollister's second motion for an extension, this Court further extended the time to file the transcripts to November 15, 2023 and warned Reporter Hollister that the requested extension was unreasonable for this priority appeal and that, if she failed to file the transcripts by November 15, 2023, this matter would be submitted for an order requiring her to show cause why she should not be held in contempt of Court for violating the order and for the assessment of costs. Reporter Hollister failed to file the transcripts by November 15, 2023.
Pursuant to this Court's November 1, 2023 order and MCR 7.210(B)(3)(f), Reporter Hollister is ASSESSED COSTS of $250 as a sanction for her failure to file the transcripts by the extended time allotted. The costs shall be paid to the Clerk of the Court within 21 days of the Clerk's certification of this order.
Further, if a copy of the notice of filing transcripts is not filed with the Michigan Court of Appeals Clerk's Office by December 15, 2023, Reporter Hollister shall personally appear before the Court of Appeals in its courtroom at 350 Ottawa N.W. in Grand Rapids, Michigan on December 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. to explain why said transcripts have not been filed, and to further explain why she is not in contempt of this Court and subject to further sanctions.
A copy of this order shall be furnished to Thirty-Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Chief Judge Michael L. Jaconette, Thirty-Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Tina Yost Johnson, and the State Court Administrative Office.
