The Honorable Eddward Ballinger, Jr., Presiding Judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court, Juvenile Department, has requested the assignment of a judge of the Arizona Court of Appeals to act as a Superior Court Judge for the purpose of finalizing adoptions on National Adoption Day 2011. Therefore, pursuant to Article 6, Section 3, of the Arizona Constitution,

IT IS ORDERED that, in addition to his regular duties as a judge of Division One of the Arizona Court of Appeals, the Honorable Maurice Portley is assigned to serve as a judge of the Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County on Saturday, November 19, 2011 to handle cases related to National Adoption Day 2011. While serving as a judge in the assigned matters, Judge Portley shall have all of the powers and duties of a Superior Court judge.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that this assignment is conditioned upon the agreement by Judge Portley to serve in the Superior Court for any matters designated and to do so for no additional compensation or benefits, fiscal or otherwise.
