In the Matter of: J. David Massey, Respondent

PUBLISHED ORDER

Loretta H. Rush, Chief Justice of Indiana

On November 16, 2021, pursuant to Indiana Admission and Discipline Rule 23(10.1)(c)(2), this Court suspended Respondent from the practice of law in this State for failing to cooperate with the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission concerning a grievance, No. 21-1068, filed against Respondent. On March 31, 2022, we issued an order on the Commission's motion converting Respondent's noncooperation suspension to an indefinite suspension pursuant to Rule 23(10.1)(c)(4).

The Commission now has filed a "Motion to Correct Erroneously Entered Suspension Order." In sum, the motion indicates that the grievant had not intended to file the grievance against Respondent but rather against another attorney with a similar name.

Being duly advised, the Court GRANTS the Commission's motion. The suspension orders issued in this case on November 16, 2021, and March 31, 2022, are hereby VACATED. Respondent's suspension ordered in one or more other cases remains in effect, and Respondent shall not be shown as reinstated to the practice of law in this state until all causes for suspension are cured.
