IN RE THE MARRIAGE OF: KATHLEEN ELLEN SAWFER, Petitioner and Appellee, and CHRISTOPHER PAUL SAWFER, Respondent and Appellant.
ORDER
On February 2, 2022, this Court ordered self-represented Appellant Christopher Paul Sawfer (Christopher) to file a report on the status of this appeal and his payment of the transcript fees on or before February 17, 2022, or face summary dismissal of this appeal. Christopher provided the requested status report on February 15, 2022. In that report, Christopher explained that he wished to dismiss his appeal; however, he had contacted counsel representing Appellee Kathleen Ellen Sawfer (Kathleen) in accordance with M. R. App. P. 16(1) and counsel was not responsive to his inquiry as to whether Kathleen would object to dismissal.
We have determined that it is appropriate to deem Christopher's request as a motion to dismiss this appeal unless Kathleen objects to such.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that Appellee Kathleen Ellen Sawfer shall file any objection she has to dismissal of this appeal no later than March 7, 2022.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that if Appellee Kathleen Ellen Sawfer does not file an objection to dismissal of this appeal no later than March 7, 2022, this Court will enter an order dismissing this appeal with prejudice.
The Clerk is directed to provide copies of this Order to all counsel of record.
