IN THE INTEREST OF M.L.C., A CHILD

From the 57th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas
Trial Court No. 2016PA02184
Honorable Charles E. Montemayor, Judge Presiding

ORDER

This is an accelerated appeal from the trial court's order terminating appellant's parental rights. After this court granted appellant two, twenty-day extensions of time to file her brief, the brief was due in this court October 9, 2017. When we granted the second extension, we advised appellant that no further extensions of time would be granted. Nevertheless, on the due date, appellant filed a third motion for extension of time asking for an additional three days in which to file her brief. In the motion counsel for appellant explained that he had been ill. Therefore, after review, we GRANT appellant's motion and ORDER appellant to file her brief in this court on or before October 12, 2017. Appellant is again advised that no further extension of time will be granted. Moreover, if the brief is not filed on or before October 12, 2017, we will abate this matter and remand it to the trial court for an abandonment hearing.
