In the MATTER OF William M. LAUFER, An Attorney At Law (Attorney No. 001591974)

ORDER The Disciplinary Review Board having filed with the Court its decision in DRB 18-182, concluding that William M. Laufer of Morristown, who was admitted to the bar of this State in 1974, should be censured for violating RPC 8.4(d) (conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice) and RPC 8.4(e) (stating or implying an ability to influence improperly a government agency or official, or to achieve results by means that violate the RPCs or other law);

And the Court having determined in its review of the matter that there is not clear and convincing evidence that respondent violated RPC 8.4(e) and having concluded that discipline less than a censure is warranted;

And good cause appearing; It is ORDERED that the charge of violation of RPC 8.4(e) is dismissed and William M. Laufer is hereby admonished; and it is further

ORDERED that the entire record of this matter be made a permanent part of respondent's file as an attorney at law of this State; and it is further

ORDERED that respondent reimburse the Disciplinary Oversight Committee for appropriate administrative costs and actual expenses incurred in the prosecution of this matter, as provided in Rule 1:20-17.
