No. 04-18-00250-CV

From the 293rd Judicial District Court, Maverick County, Texas
Trial Court No. 11-06-26606-MCV
Ms. Susan Dolan Reed, Judge Presiding
ORDER
On May 2, 2018, appellant filed a letter in this court, requesting permission to file the reporter's record in this appeal instead of requesting the court reporter responsible for preparing the record to file the record. In her letter, appellant explains she is filing the reporter's record herself to avoid the additional cost of having the court reporter prepare and file the record. Attached to her letter is a copy of the hearing that is pertinent to the appeal. After reviewing this letter, we are construing it as a motion requesting permission to file the reporter's record on behalf of the court reporter. Rule 35.3 of the Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure provides that the official court reporter is responsible for preparing, certifying, and timely filing the reporter's record when a notice of appeal has been filed and the reporter's record has been requested. See TEX. R. APP. P. 35.3(c).
Accordingly, we DENY appellant's request to file the reporter's record. Appellant is advised that if she desires a copy of the reporter's record to be considered by this court, she should contact the court reporter responsible for preparing the record to file the record.
