Before the Court is the January 2, 2024 motion of Beth M. Johnson to withdraw as counsel for appellant. Ms. Johnson explains in the motion that her attorney-client relationship with appellant has been terminated. We GRANT the motion and DIRECT the Clerk of this Court to remove Ms. Johnson as counsel for appellant. Appellant is now proceeding pro se in this appeal. Also before the Court is appellant's January 2, 2024 motion for an extension of time to file his opening brief. We GRANT the motion and extend the time to February 13, 2024.
We DIRECT the Clerk of this Court to send appellant a copy of this Court's pamphlet "Information for People Without Lawyers." We further DIRECT the Clerk of this Court to send a copy of this order to Ms. Johnson, appellant, and appellee.
