IN RE MIKLOS KATO, Relator

ORIGINAL PROCEEDING WRIT OF MANDAMUS
234th District Court Harris County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. 2019-73573

MEMORANDUM OPINION

Relator Miklos Kato petitioned for a writ of mandamus compelling the presiding judge of the 234th District Court of Harris County, the Hon. Lauren Reeder, to vacate her order denying relator's motion to disqualify Carl Dawson as counsel for real party in interest Binh Nguyen. A ruling on a motion to disqualify counsel is reviewable by mandamus because there is no adequate appellate remedy. In re Sanders, 153 S.W.3d 54, 56-57 (Tex. 2004) (orig. proceeding) (per curiam).

Relator has not established that the trial court abused its discretion in denying the motion to disqualify. Accordingly, he has not established that he is entitled to mandamus relief. We deny the petition for writ of mandamus.

PER CURIAM Panel consists of Justices Wise, Bourliot, and Spain.
