ORDER GRANTING PETITION TO RESIGN AND SURRENDER LICENSE


Upon consideration of Petitioner Michael K. Kam's (Petitioner Kam) December 30, 2003 petition to resign and surrender his license to practice law in the State of Hawaii while in good standing, the attached affidavits, and the lack of any objections by the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, it appears that the petition complies with the requirements of Rule 1.10 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of the State of Hawai`i (RSCH). Therefore,

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the petition to resign and surrender Petitioner Kam's license to practice law in the State of Hawai`i while in good standing is granted.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Petitioner Kam shall return his original license to practice law to the Clerk of the Supreme Court of Hawai`i forthwith. The Clerk shall retain the original license as part of this record. Pursuant to RSCH Rule 1.10(g), Petitioner Kam shall comply with the notice, affidavit, and record requirements of subsections (a), (b), (d), and (g) of RSCH Rule 2.16.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Clerk of the Supreme Court of Hawai`i shall remove the name of Michael K. Kam, attorney number 2961, from the roll of attorneys of the State of Hawai`i, effective with the filing of this order.
