RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR CONTINUANCE
AND NOW this 19th day of September, 2023, the Judicial Conduct Board by and through counsel, Elizabeth R. Donnelly, responds to Magisterial District Judge Sonya McKnight's request for continuance as follows:
1. The Board objects to an indefinite continuance of the matter currently pending before the Court of Judicial Discipline and requests an in-person hearing on Magisterial District Judge McKnight's continuance request.
2. The Board requests the Court of Judicial Discipline appoint Judge McKnight counsel pursuant to Rule 601(A).
3. The Board requests the Court of Judicial Discipline enter an order requiring Judge McKnight to undergo a physical/mental evaluation pursuant to Rule 601(B).
VERIFICATION
I, Elizabeth R. Donnelly, Deputy Counsel to the Judicial Conduct Board, verify that the Judicial Conduct Board found probable cause to file the Response to Request for Continuance. I understand that the statements herein are made subject to the penalties of 18 Pa. Cons. Stat. Ann. § 4904, relating to unsworn falsification to authorities.
