Opinion

No. 04-05-00516-CV

Delivered and Filed: August 3, 2005.

Original Mandamus Proceeding.

Petition for Writ of Mandamus Dismissed for Want of Jurisdiction.

Sitting: Catherine STONE, Justice, Phylis J. SPEEDLIN, Justice, Rebecca SIMMONS, Justice.

MEMORANDUM OPINION

Adisa T.E. Jones filed this original proceeding on July 26, 2005, seeking a writ of mandamus against Patricia Brysch in her capacity as the Karnes County District Clerk. This court does not have mandamus jurisdiction over district clerks unless it is shown that issuance of the writ is necessary to enforce our jurisdiction. Tex. Gov't Code Ann. § 22.221(a), (b) (Vernon 2004); In re Wilke, No. 04-05-00329-CV, 2005 WL 1276376, *1 (Tex.App.-San Antonio, orig. proceeding) (mem. op.). Jones has made no such allegation or showing. We therefore dismiss the petition for want of jurisdiction.
