In the Interest of J.J.G., L.K.G., H.A.G., and A.G.G., Children
ORDER Trial court case number: 2014-00610J Trial court: 313th District Court of Harris County
Appellee, the Department of Family and Protective Services, has filed a first unopposed motion for extension of time to file its brief, requesting an extension to June 15, 2016. We grant appellee's motion. Appellee's brief is due to be filed with this Court no later than June 15, 2016. See TEX. R. APP. P. 28.4(a), 38.6(a), (d).
Because this appeal involves a child-protection case, the Court is required to bring the appeal to final disposition within 180 days of February 7, 2016, the date the first notice of appeal was filed in this proceeding, so far as reasonably possible. See Tex. R. Jud. Admin. 6.2, reprinted in TEX. GOV'T. CODE ANN., tit. 2, subtit. F app. (Vernon 2013); see also TEX. R. APP. P. 28.4. Accordingly, no further extensions will be granted. As previously notified, this case is set for submission on June 28, 2016.
It is so ORDERED. Judge's signature: /s/ Terry Jennings
