IN RE BRUCE L. JAMISON

Original Proceeding 284th District Court of Montgomery County, Texas Trial Cause No. 20-09-10625-CV

Before Golemon, C.J., Johnson and Wright, JJ.

ORDER

PER CURIAM

In a mandamus proceeding, Relator Bruce L. Jamison sought mandamus relief from an order imposing sanctions. We stayed the trial court's order and requested a response form the Real Parties in Interest Karl Stomberg and Kristin Stomberg. Before the Court issued an opinion, Relator filed a suggestion of bankruptcy of Southern Luxury Motorcars, LLC. Recognizing that any further action in Appeal Number 09-21-00180-CV had been stayed by virtue of the bankruptcy, on July 29, 2021, we abated the mandamus proceeding until Appeal Number 09-21-00180-CV was reinstated or dismissed.

On March 7, 2024, we granted a motion to reinstate the accelerated appeal and dismissed Appeal Number 09-21-00180-CV as moot. After our mandate issued in Appeal Number 09-21-00180-CV, we requested written responses from the parties regarding whether this mandamus proceeding should be reinstated. Neither the Relator nor the Real Parties in Interest filed a response.

It is, therefore, ORDERED that this original proceeding is reinstated. The Relator may address any subsequent developments by filing a supplemental brief on or before July 31, 2024, the Real Parties in Interest may also file a supplemental brief, which shall be due twenty days after Relator files his supplemental brief, if any, and if none, twenty days after the due date for Relator's supplemental brief.
