IN THE ESTATE OF JOHN M. HOUSTON, DECEASED

On Appeal from the Collin County Probate Court Collin County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. PB-001-56605

ORDER

On November 20, 2017, the Court ordered court recorder Mike Vaughan to file, by November 30, 2017, the electronic recordings of three hearings. Before the Court is the November 28, 2017 request of the Honorable Weldon Copeland, Judge of the Collin County Probate Court, for an extension of time to complete the record. Judge Copeland explains that a type-written record of the hearings is now being made by a certified court reporter because the electronic recording system is not operating in a manner that will allow compliant electronic records to be made. He requests an additional three weeks to file the requested records.

We GRANT the request. The reporter's records of the hearings held on February 2, 2016, March 17, 2016, and October 17, 2017 shall be filed by December 21, 2017.

We DIRECT the Clerk of this Court to send a copy of this order to Judge Copeland and all parties.

CHIEF JUSTICE
