In re Kevin Hromas

Trial court: 215th District Court of Harris County Trial court case number: 2021-70308

ORDER

APRIL FARRIS JUDGE

On February 23, 2024, relator Kevin Hromas filed a petition for a writ of mandamus. In his mandamus petition, relator challenges the trial court's January 4, 2024 "Order Granting Plaintiff[] [Kyle J. McPike's] Motion to Disqualify Defendant[] [Homeowners of America Insurance Company's] Appraiser Kevin Hromas." Relator requests that the Court issue a writ of mandamus directing the trial court "to vacate the January 4, 2024 Order Disqualifying Kevin Hromas and that no further action shall be taken until the trial court lifts the abatement or the appraisal is completed."

We request a response to the petition for writ of mandamus from real party in interest, Kyle J. McPike. The response, if any, is due to be filed with this Court no later than twenty days following the date of this order.

It is so ORDERED.
