IN THE MATTER OF THOMAS E. HOOD AN ATTORNEY AT LAW (ATTORNEY NO. 239531967)


CONSENT ORDER

This matter having been opened to the Court by the Office of Attorney Ethics, and with the consent of Thomas E. Hood of Plainfield, who was admitted to the bar of this State in 1967, to be transferred to disability inactive status pursuant to Rule 1:20-12;

And Thomas E. Hood ("counsel") and the Office of Attorney Ethics having agreed that counsel lacks the capacity to engage in the practice of law and should be transferred to disability inactive status pursuant to Rule 1:20-12;

And good cause appearing;

It is ORDERED that Thomas E. Hood is hereby transferred to disability inactive status, effective immediately, and until further order of the Court; and it is further

ORDERED that counsel shall not return to active status unless and until counsel demonstrates that counsel has regained the capacity to practice law; and it is further

ORDERED that counsel is hereby restrained from practicing law during the period that counsel remains on disability inactive status; and it is further ORDERED that counsel comply with Rule 1:20-20 governing incapacitated attorneys; and it is further

ORDERED that the entire record of this matter be made a permanent part of counsel’s file as an attorney at law of this State.
