IN RE THE HOMEOWNERS' ASSOCIATION OF PRINCETON MEADOWS, INC.

On Appeal from the County Court at Law No. 6 Collin County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. 006-01821-2016

ORDER

This appeal is REINSTATED.

By order dated March 13, 2017, we abated this appeal for the trial court to conduct a hearing to determine whether attorney Barbara Palmer has standing or legal authority to act as the attorney of record for the Homeowners' Association of Princeton Meadows, Inc. (HOA). We ADOPT the trial court's findings that (1) Ms. Palmer was never authorized by the HOA to file any lawsuits or appeals on behalf of the HOA; (2) Mr. Pickett is the president of the HOA Board; and (3) Mr. Pickettt did not approve of the lawsuit or the appeal.

The Clerk of the Court is DIRECTED to remove Ms. Palmer as attorney of record for appellant. Unless Ms. Kristie Simmerman, counsel for the HOA, informs the Court that the HOA desires to proceed with this appeal within TEN DAYS of the date of this order, this appeal will be dismissed without further notice.
