IN RE Laura L. HITA, Relator

Original Mandamus Proceeding

This proceeding arises out of Cause No. 2019-CI-00344, styled Laura L. Ortiz v. Daniel Ortiz, in the 45th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas, the Honorable Mary Lou Alvarez presiding.

Sitting: Irene Rios, Justice Lori I. Valenzuela, Justice Liza A. Rodriguez, Justice

ORDER

PER CURIAM

On August 15, 2024, relator filed a petition for a writ of mandamus and an emergency motion for temporary relief. This court believes a serious question concerning the relief sought requires further consideration. See TEX. R. APP. P. 52.8(b). The respondent and the real party in interest may file a response to the petition no later than September 9, 2024. Any such response must conform to Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 52.4.

We GRANT the motion for temporary emergency relief and STAY respondent's ruling on real party interest's motion for enforcement, thereby permitting relator to enroll her children in schools in the Medina Valley Independent School District, pending further order of this court.

It is so ORDERED.
