DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION FOR REINSTATEMENT

Motion by Blonde Grayson Hall for reinstatement to the Bar as an attorney and counselor-at-law. Ms. Hall was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on January 30, 1985, under the name Blonde W. Grayson. By decision and order on motion dated October 29, 2007, the Court, on its own motion, suspended Ms. Hall pursuant to Judiciary Law § 90(4)(f) upon her conviction of a serious crime, authorized the Grievance Committee for the Second, Eleventh, and Thirteenth Judicial Districts to institute and prosecute a disciplinary proceeding against her, and referred the issues raised to the Honorable Stella Schindler, as Special Referee to hear and report. By opinion and order dated September 8, 2009, the Court suspended Ms. Hall for a time commensurate with the time elapsed since her interim suspension, with leave to apply for reinstatement immediately. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated February 29, 2012, Ms. Hall's motion for reinstatement was held in abeyance and the matter was referred to the Committee on Character and Fitness to investigate and report on her current fitness to be an attorney, including but not limited to, the current status of the federal and state tax liens filed against her, and her compliance with New York State Continuing Legal Education requirements pursuant to 22 NYCRR 691.11(c).

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in relation thereto, and upon the report of the Committee on Character and Fitness and the exhibits annexed thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion is denied.

We find that Ms. Hall does not demonstrate the requisite fitness and character to practice law.

ENG, P.J., MASTRO, RIVERA, SKELOS and DILLON, JJ., concur.
