IN RE PETITION OF ANGELICA M. GONZALEZ TO WAIVE THE ONE-YEAR REQUIREMENT FOR APPEARANCE FOR ADMISSION

ORDER

Angelica M. Gonzalez has sent a letter to the Court explaining that she failed to meet the one-year deadline for appearing for admission after successfully meeting the requirements for admission. We deem Gonzalez' letter to be a petition for waiver of the rules. Rule X(B), Rule for Admission to the State Bar of Montana, provides, "If an applicant does not appear for admission to the State Bar of Montana within one year after successfully meeting the requirements for admission, the applicant's application will be terminated and the applicant may be admitted only after reapplication as provided in these Rules." Gonzalez' letter explains that she missed the deadline due to relocating within the State of Texas. Gonzalez has paid the necessary fees for admission.

The letter does not seek permission for Gonzalez to take the oath in another jurisdiction pursuant to Rule X(D), Rules of Admission, but Gonzalez may petition for such permission, if desired. Good cause appearing, IT IS ORDERED that the petition for waiver of the one-year requirement of Rule X(B), Rules of Admission, is GRANTED. Angelica M. Gonzalez is granted 60 days to appear for admission to the State Bar of Montana. The Clerk is directed to provide copies of this order to Petitioner and to the State Bar of Montana. DATED this/Z- day of July, 2022.
