In the MATTER OF Nelson GONZALEZ, An Attorney At Law (Attorney No. 020401997)

ORDER

The Disciplinary Review Board having filed with the Court its decision in DRB 19-363, concluding on the record certified by the Board pursuant to Rule 1:20-4(f)(default by respondent) that Nelson Gonzalez of Dover, who was admitted to the bar of this State in 1997, and who has been suspended from practice since May 7, 2020, pursuant to the Order of the Court filed April 9, 2020, should be disciplined for violating RPC 1.3 (lack of diligence), RPC 1.4(b) (failure to keep client reasonably informed about the status of a matter and to promptly comply with reasonable requests for information), RPC 1.5(b) (failure to set forth in writing the basis or rate of the fee), and RPC 8.1(b) (failure to cooperate with disciplinary authorities);

And the Court having determined from its review of the matter that a censure is the appropriate quantum of discipline for respondent's unethical conduct;

And good cause appearing;

It is ORDERED that Nelson Gonzalez is hereby censured; and it is further ORDERED that the entire record of this matter be made a permanent part of respondent's file as an attorney at law of this State; and it is further

ORDERED that respondent reimburse the Disciplinary Oversight Committee for appropriate administrative costs and actual expenses incurred in the prosecution of this matter, as provided in Rule 1:20-17.
