Original Mandamus Proceeding

This proceeding arises out of Cause No. 16-03-0246-CVA, styled Juan Ferdin v. Salinas Construction Technologies, Ltd., pending in the 218th Judicial District Court, Atascosa County, Texas. The Honorable Dick Alcala signed the order at issue in this proceeding.

ORDER

On May 15, 2018, relator filed a petition for writ of mandamus and a motion for an emergency stay. This court believes a serious question concerning the mandamus relief sought requires further consideration. See TEX. R. APP. P. 52.8(b). The respondent and the real party in interest may file a response to the petition for writ of mandamus in this court no later than May 31, 2018. Any such response must conform to Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 52.4.

We GRANT the emergency motion for a stay. The trial court's May 10, 2018 Order Setting Jury Trial for May 29, 2018 is hereby STAYED pending resolution of the petition for writ of mandamus.

It is so ORDERED on May 17, 2018.
