Original Proceeding 163rd District Court of Orange County, Texas Trial Cause No. B210023-C
Before Golemon, C.J., Johnson and Wright, JJ.
ORDER
PER CURIAM
Expedited Logistics and Freight Services, LLC, Relator, filed a petition for a writ of mandamus and a motion for temporary relief. See Tex. R. App. P. 52. Relator is a defendant in Trial Cause Number B210023-C, Ly v. Expedited Logistics and Freight Services, LLC, Zachary William Arrant, Independent Administrator of the Succession of Arthur Brooks Arrant, and Arrant Trucking, Inc. Relator seeks a writ compelling the Honorable Rex Peveto, Judge of the 163rd District Court of Orange County, Texas, to vacate an order compelling the production of net-worth discovery. See Tex. Gov't Code Ann. § 22.221.
Relator requests that the trial court's order be stayed while this Court considers the mandamus petition. The Court finds temporary relief is necessary to prevent undue prejudice. It is ORDERED that the trial court's Order of February 1, 2024, in Trial Cause Number B210023-C, and the discovery compelled by the trial court's order, are STAYED until our opinion issues or until further order of this Court. See Tex. R. App. P. 52.10(b). No bond is required of Relator as a condition to any relief herein granted.
The response of the Real Party in Interest, Katheryn Ly, is due March 11, 2024.
MOTION FOR TEMPORARY RELIEF GRANTED.
