Appellee Marcus P. Rogers, in his capacity as dependent administrator of the estate of Mildred Elizabeth Thomas Edwards, has filed a notice stating that appellant William Rowland Edwards is an alleged debtor in an involuntary bankruptcy proceeding. The notice complies with Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 8.1. See TEX. R. APP. P. 8.1. Accordingly, the appeal and all time periods are stayed from the date the bankruptcy petition was filed. See TEX. R. APP. P. 8.2.
We, therefore, ABATE this appeal. For administrative purposes, this appeal will be treated as a closed case, unless and until it is reinstated or severed in accordance with Rule 8.3. See TEX. R. APP. P. 8.3.
Appellees Katherine Edwards Dow and Kelly Carraba have filed a motion for extension of time to file their brief. Because this appeal has been abated, appellees' motion for an extension of time to file their brief is DENIED AS MOOT.
