Administrative Order No. 2008-16

In accordance with Rule 6.a. of the Uniform Rules of Procedure for the Commissions on Appellate and Trial Court Appointments, as adopted by this Court, Commissioners shall actively seek out and encourage applications from qualified individuals who will reflect the diversity of the community they serve, and shall enlist the aid of community groups and organizations in this effort. Rule 6.a. further provides that it is incumbent upon Commissioners to seek out well-qualified persons who may not otherwise apply.
Under the authority granted to the Commissions on Appellate and Trial Court Appointments by the Uniform Rules of Procedure, the Subcommittee on Recruitment is established to examine issues and pursue activities relevant to the recruitment of a diverse applicant pool reflective of the gender, ethnic, racial, geographic and political diversity of Arizona.
The subcommittee will consist of members from each of the commissions:
Mark Briggs Helene Fenlon Appellate Commission Maricopa County Commission Dr. Ron Cox John Hinderaker Maricopa County Commission Pima County Commission Jennifer Hunter John Leavitt Maricopa County Commission Appellate CommissionSubcommittee meetings will be scheduled at the discretion of the subcommittee and will be open to the public. The Administrative Office of the Courts will provide staff who will make meeting arrangements, conduct research and keep meeting minutes.
