IN THE INTEREST OF D.D.D., a Child
From the 166th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas Trial Court No. 2022PA01953 Honorable Kimberly Burley, Judge Presiding
ORDER
PER CURIAM
This is an accelerated appeal of an order terminating appellant's parental rights which must be disposed of by this court within 180 days of the date the notice of appeal is filed. Tex. R. Jud. Admin. 6.2. The reporter's record was originally due February 15, 2024, but was not filed. On February 26, 2024, we ordered the court reporter to file the reporter's record by March 7, 2024. In our order, we noted that if the court reporter did not comply with that order, we may be required to initiate contempt proceedings.
As of the date of this order, the reporter's record has not been filed. We therefore ORDER court reporter Angie Jimenez to file the reporter's record by March 18, 2024. Tex.R.App.P. 35.3(c). We advise Ms. Jimenez that in appeals from orders terminating the appellant's parental rights, we may not grant extensions of time to file the appellate record that exceed 30 days cumulatively. Tex.R.App.P. 28.4(b). Accordingly, no further extensions of time will be granted. See id. If the record is not filed by March 18, 2024, an order will be issued directing Angie Jimenez to appear and show cause why she should not be held in contempt for failing to file the record.
The clerk of this court shall cause a copy of this order to be served on Ms. Jimenez by certified mail, return receipt requested, or give other personal notice of this order with proof of delivery. Because "[t]he trial and appellate courts are jointly responsible for ensuring that the appellate record is timely filed," Tex.R.App.P. 35.3(c), the clerk of the court is directed to serve a copy of this order on the Honorable Kimberly Burley, Associate Judge of the Bexar County Children's Court.
It is so ORDERED.
