In the Matter of the Chair to the Marion County Judicial Selection Committee
ORDER
Loretta H. Rush, Chief Justice
On June 2, 2021, this Court entered an order designating Justice Steven H. David as chair of the Marion County Judicial Selection Committee, effective July 1, 2021, with a term ending on June 30, 2025, or further Order of the Court. Justice David currently serves as the chair of the Marion County Judicial Selection Committee. Justice David will retire from the Court on August 31, 2022, and upon his retirement, his term as the chair of the Marion County Judicial Selection Committee will conclude.
IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED that when Justice David retires from the Court on August 31, 2022, his term as the chair of the Marion County Judicial Selection Committee will conclude, and pursuant to Indiana Code Section 33-33-49-13.1(c)(8), Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush will serve as the ex officio chair of the Marion County Judicial Selection Committee beginning on September 1, 2022, until further Order of the Court.
