IN RE RONALD SCOTT CATT, Relator

ORIGINAL PROCEEDING WRIT OF MANDAMUS 268th District Court Fort Bend County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 22-DCV-290442

Panel consists of Justices Spain, Poissant, and Wilson.

ORDER

PER CURIAM

On August 9, 2022, relator Ronald Scott Catt filed a petition for writ of mandamus in this court. See Tex. Gov't Code Ann. § 22.221; see also Tex. R. App. P. 52. In the petition, relator asks this court to provide direction and guidance to the Honorable O'Neil Williams, presiding judge of the 268th District Court in Fort Bend County, Texas, regarding whether an assistant county attorney can represent his opponent in his trial court proceeding.

Relator's petition does not comply with the Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure. See Tex. R. App. 52.7(a)(2) (requiring relator to "file with the petition . . . a properly authenticated transcript of any relevant testimony from any underlying proceeding, including any exhibits offered in evidence, or a statement that no testimony was adduced in connection with the matter complained"). By this order, the court gives relator thirty days' notice that the petition will be dismissed for failure to comply with Rule 52.7(a)(2) unless the deficiency is cured. See generally Tex. R. App. P. 42.3(c).
