No. 04-17-00250-CV

From the 81st Judicial District Court, Wilson County, Texas
Trial Court No. 16-03-0129-CVW
Melissa Uram-Degerolami, Judge Presiding
ORDER
This is an accelerated appeal from an order terminating the parental rights of both parents to their one child. The appellant-mother, K.C., is represented on appeal by retained counsel James Peplinski. The appellant-father, C.B., is represented on appeal by appointed counsel Amanda Wilhelm. The appellants filed a joint notice of appeal.
Appellants' briefs were originally due on May 30, 2017. On May 30, 2017, Mr. Peplinski and Ms. Wilhelm each filed a separate request for a seven-day extension of time in which to file their client's appellate briefs.
On June 1, 2017, we granted Ms. Wilhelm's request and ordered her to file C.B.'s appellate brief no later than June 6, 2017. In that same order, we granted Mr. Peplinski's request for a supplemental clerk's record and that this court reset the deadline to file K.C.'s brief within twenty days of the filing of the supplemental clerk's record. We ordered the trial court clerk to file a supplemental clerk's record containing a copy of the Motion for Continuance filed on or about March 1, 2017, no later than June 12, 2017; and we ordered Mr. Peplinski to file K.C.'s appellate brief no later than twenty days from the date the supplemental clerk's record is filed.
On June 2, 2017, Ms. Wilhelm filed a motion asking for the same relief as Mr. Peplinksi. We grant Ms. Wilhelm's motion and Ms. Wilhelm is ORDERED to file C.B.'s appellate brief no later than twenty days from the date the supplemental clerk's record is filed.
Ms. Wilhelm and Mr. Peplinski are encouraged to coordinate their requests with this court to alleviate the need for multiple orders that may further delay disposition of this appeal. Counsel are reminded that the Texas Rules of Judicial Administration require this court to "ensure that the appeal is brought to final disposition . . . [w]ithin 180 days of the date the notice of appeal is filed." Tex. R. Jud. Adm. 6.2(a). This accelerated appeal has been pending since C.B. and K.C. filed a joint notice of appeal in the trial court on April 13, 2017.
