IN RE BROWN/MCCOVERY MINORS

LC No. 19-136336-NA

Michael F. Gadola Presiding Judge, Sima G. Patel, Allie Greenleaf Maldonado Judges

ORDER

In our May 4, 2023 opinion and order, we vacated the order appealed from and remanded to the trial court for additional fact finding. On remand, consistent with this Court's direction, the trial court considered the best interests of the children and concluded that there were "no appropriate relatives to place the minor children with and foster care placement is in the children's [sic] best interest." The trial court reiterated that termination of respondent-appellant parental rights were in the children's best interest. Having previously held that there was clear and convincing evidence that grounds for termination were established, we now AFFIRM the trial court's order on remand. The remand proceedings having rendered moot any remaining appellate issues, this appeal is DISMISSED. MCR 7.216(A)(7).

We do not retain jurisdiction.

Gadola, J., not participating having recused himself from this matter after remand.
