ABATEMENT ORDER
On March 1, 2016, this court consolidated this original proceeding with the related appeal in cause number 14-15-01071-CV. On January 10, 2017, this court entered an order abating the appeal in order to allow the parties to finalize a settlement agreement. On April 13, 2017, this court granted a motion to extend the abatement period for an additional 90 days, to allow the parties to conclude the settlement and obtain a final judgment. Because this original proceeding is consolidated with the appeal, it should have been subject to the same abatement period. Accordingly, we issue the following order.
The original proceeding is abated, treated as a closed case, and removed from this court's active docket until July 12, 2017. The original proceeding will be reinstated on this court's active docket at that time. The court will also consider an appropriate motion to reinstate the original proceeding filed by either party, or the court may reinstate the original proceeding on its own motion.
