IN RE ROBERT BOMKAMP, Relator
Original Proceeding from the 204th Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. F15-17895-Q
MEMORANDUM OPINION
Before Chief Justice Burns and Justices Osborne and Reichek
Opinion by Justice Reichek
In this original proceeding, Robert Bomkamp has petitioned the Court for a writ of mandamus to compel the trial court to issue a ruling on his "Motion Requesting District Clerk and Reporters Record on Loan." The Court requested a response from the respondent trial court and real party in interest but none was filed. However, a review of the trial court's online docket sheet shows the trial court issued a March 13, 2020 order denying relator's motion.
We take judicial notice of the trial court's online docket sheet. See In re Johnson, 2020 WL 1164068, at *1 n. 1 (Tex. App.—Dallas 2020, orig. proceeding). The trial court's ruling on relator's motion delivers all of the relief he is requesting and entitled to, thus rendering his petition for writ of mandamus moot. See In re Bonilla, 424 S.W.3d 528, 534 (Tex. Crim. App. 2014) (original proceeding) (mandamus relief rendered moot when relator received information he was seeking); Johnson, 2020 WL 1164068, at *1 (mandamus proceeding seeking ruling on motion rendered moot when respondent trial court ruled on motion).
Accordingly, we dismiss as moot relator's petition for writ of mandamus. See Bonilla, 424 S.W.3d at 534 (dismissal is proper when mandamus proceeding becomes moot); Johnson, 2020 WL 1164068, at *1 (dismissing petition for writ of mandamus after matter became moot).
