On Appeal from the County Court at Law No. 2 Kaufman County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. 19M-091
ORDER
This is an appeal from the trial court's May 2, 2019 order for temporary mental health services. See TEX. HEALTH & SAFETY CODE ANN. § 574.034. Before the Court is appellant's May 28, 2019 unopposed motion for extension of time to file brief. Appellant seeks the extension because findings of fact and conclusions of law she requested May 16, 2019 have not yet been filed. See TEX. R. CIV. P. 296. We GRANT the motion as follows.
We ORDER the Honorable Bobby Rich, Presiding Judge of Kaufman County Court at Law No. 2 to file the requested findings of fact and conclusions of law no later than June 5, 2019. See id. 297. The findings and conclusions shall be filed in a supplemental clerk's record with this Court no later than June 6, 2019. We further ORDER appellant to file her brief no later than June 11, 2019. See TEX. HEALTH & SAFETY CODE ANN. § 574.070(e). Because of the nature of this appeal, further extension requests will be disfavored.
We DIRECT the Clerk of the Court to send a copy of this order by electronic transmission to Judge Rich; Kaufman County Clerk Laura Hughes; and, the parties.
We ABATE the appeal to allow the trial court an opportunity to comply with this order. The appeal will be reinstated no later than June 7, 2019.
