IN RE: Alton BATES, II

ATTORNEY DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDING

PER CURIAM

1Respondent neglected a legal matter, failed to communicate with his client, and failed to supervise a non-lawyer assistant. This misconduct occurred during the same time period as the misconduct for which respondent was previously suspended. This suspension shall be retroactive to the effective date of the suspension imposed by this court in In re: Bates, 22-1357 (La. 1/27/23), 356 So. 3d 980.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that all costs and expenses in the matter are assessed against respondent in accordance with Supreme Court Rule XIX, § 10.1, with legal interest to commence thirty days from the date of finality of this court’s judgment until paid.
