Opinion

No. 04-15-00798-CV

12-30-2015

IN THE MATTER OF B.A.G.

From the 386th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas
Trial Court No. 2015-JUV-00641
Honorable Laura Parker, Judge Presiding

ORDER

This is a precedential appeal from orders of adjudication and disposition in a juvenile case. The trial court signed both the order of adjudication and the order of disposition on August 31, 2015. Appellant timely filed a motion for new trial on September 24, 2015. Therefore, appellant's notice of appeal was due on November 30, 2015, ninety days from August 31, 2015. See TEX. R. APP. P. 26.1(a). A motion for extension of time to file appellant's notice of appeal was due on December 15, 2015. See TEX. R. APP. P. 26.3. Appellant did not file his notice of appeal until December 17, 2015. It therefore appears that we lack jurisdiction to consider this appeal.

We ORDER appellant to show cause on or before January 11, 2016 why this appeal should not be dismissed for lack of jurisdiction.

/s/_________

Karen Angelini, Justice

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of the said court on this 30th day of December, 2015.
