Pursuant to Rule 92(a)(4) of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Arizona and Administrative Order No. 2005-32(C)(d), the presiding judge in each county shall appoint with the approval of the Supreme Court an associate presiding judge to act during the absence or unavailability of the presiding judge.

On December 6, 2010, by Administrative Order No. 2010-17 of the Superior Court in Yuma County, the Honorable Andrew W. Gould, Presiding Judge, appointed the Honorable John N. Nelson as Associate Presiding Judge.

Now, therefore, in accordance with the provisions of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Arizona and Administrative Order No. 2005-32 cited herein,

IT IS ORDERED that the Court hereby approves the appointment of the Honorable John N. Nelson as Associate Presiding Judge of the Superior Court in Yuma County and, in accordance with Rule 92(b), he shall serve at the pleasure of the presiding judge and exercise and discharge all powers and duties of the presiding judge, except that he may not appoint court commissioners or appoint judges permanently to special assignments
