IN THE MATTER OF THE APPOINTMENT OF JUSTICE STEVEN DAVID AS CHAIR OF THE ALLEN SUPERIOR COURT JUDICIAL NOMINATING COMMISSION

ORDER OF APPOINTMENT

Indiana Code section 33-33-2-33(a) states in relevant part:
The [Allen Superior Court] judicial nominating commission consists of seven (7) members, the majority of whom shall form a quorum. The chief justice of [Indiana] (or a justice of the supreme court or judge of the court of appeals designated by the chief justice) shall be a member and shall act as chairman.
Pursuant to my authority under Indiana Code section 33-33-2-33(a), I hereby DESIGNATE Justice Steven David to serve as a member and chairman of the Allen Superior Court Judicial Nominating Commission. This designation shall remain in effect until such time as a successor is appointed or Justice David ceases to serve as an Associate Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court, whichever occurs first.
The Clerk is directed to send a copy of this order to the Hon. Steven David, Associate Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court; to the Hon. David J. Avery, Chief Judge of the Allen i; Superior Court; to the Hon. Lisbeth Borgmann, Clerk of the Allen Superior Court; to Edward E. Beck; to James J. O'Connor, Jr.; to Susan L. Rutz; to Adrienne Meiring, Counsel to the Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission; to Lilly Judson, Executive Director of the Division of State Court Administration; and to the Indiana Supreme Court Administration Office. The Clerk is also directed to post this order to the Court's website.
