In Re Application for Exemption from the Electronic Public Access Fees by Alexander Zentefis

This matter is before the Court upon the application and request by Alexander Zentefis for exemption from the fees imposed by the Electronic Public Access fee schedule adopted by the Judicial Conference of the United States Courts.

The Court finds that Alexander Zentefis, as an individual researcher associated with Yale University, falls within the class of users listed in the fee schedule as being eligible for a fee exemption. Additionally, Alexander Zentefis has demonstrated that an exemption is necessary in order to avoid unreasonable burdens and to promote public access to information. Accordingly, Alexander Zentefis shall be exempt from the payment of fees for access via PACER to the electronic case files maintained in this court, to the extent such use is incurred in the course of his research project studying the linguistic patterns in federal criminal sentencing. He shall not be exempt from the payment of fees incurred in connection with other uses of the PACER system in this court. Additionally, the following limitations apply:

1. this fee exemption applies only to Alexander Zentefis and is valid only for the purposes stated above;
2. this fee exemption applies only to the electronic case files of this court that are available through the PACER system;
3. by accepting this exemption, Alexander Zentefis agrees not to sell for profit any data obtained as a result of receiving this exemption;
4. Alexander Zentefis is prohibited from transferring any data obtained as a result of receiving this exemption, including redistribution via internet based databases;
5. this exemption is valid until 12 months from the date of this Order.

This exemption may be revoked at the discretion of the Court at any time. A copy of this Order shall be sent to the PACER Service Center.

In Re: Application for Exemption from the Electronic Public Access Fees by Yvonne (Yanzi) Han

This matter is before the Court upon the application and request by Yvonne (Yanzi) Han for exemption from the fees imposed by the Electronic Public Access fee schedule adopted by the Judicial Conference of the United States Courts.

The Court finds that Yvonne (Yanzi) Han, a PhD student affiliated with the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, falls within the class of users listed in the fee schedule as being eligible for a fee exemption. Additionally, Yvonne (Yanzi) Han has demonstrated that an exemption is necessary in order to avoid unreasonable burdens and to promote public access to information. Accordingly, Yvonne (Yanzi) Han shall be exempt from the payment of fees for access via PACER to the electronic case files maintained in this court, to the extent such use is incurred in the course of her research into information's role in corporate bankruptcy cases. Yvonne (Yanzi) Han shall not be exempt from the payment of fees incurred in connection with other uses of the PACER system in this court. Additionally, the following limitations apply:

1. this fee exemption applies only to Yvonne (Yanzi) Han and is valid only for the purposes stated above;
2. this fee exemption applies only to the bankruptcy electronic case files of this court that are available through the PACER system;
3. by accepting this exemption, Yvonne (Yanzi) Han agrees not to sell for profit any data obtained as a result of receiving this exemption;
4. Yvonne (Yanzi) Han is prohibited from transferring any data obtained as a result of receiving this exemption, including redistribution via internet based databases;
5. this exemption is valid until June 30, 2025.

This exemption may be revoked at the discretion of the Court at any time. A copy of this Order shall be sent to the PACER Service Center.

In Re: Application for Exemption from the Electronic Public Access Fees by Oluwaseun Cardoso

This matter is before the Court upon the application and request by Oluwaseun Cardoso for exemption from the fees imposed by the Electronic Public Access fee schedule adopted by the Judicial Conference of the United States Courts.

The Court finds that Oluwaseun Cardoso, a Graduate Researcher with the University of Waterloo, falls within the class of users listed in the fee schedule as being eligible for a fee exemption. Additionally, Oluwaseun Cardoso has demonstrated that an exemption is necessary in order to avoid unreasonable burdens and to promote public access to information. Accordingly, Oluwaseun Cardoso shall be exempt from the payment of fees for access via PACER to the electronic case files maintained in this court, to the extent such use is incurred in the course of Oluwaseun Cardoso's research into the application of Artificial Intelligence to outcomes of cases and motions. Oluwaseun Cardoso shall not be exempt from the payment of fees incurred in connection with other uses of the PACER system in this court. Additionally, the following limitations apply:

1. this fee exemption applies only to Oluwaseun Cardoso and is valid only for the purposes stated above;
2. this fee exemption applies only to the electronic case files of this court that are available through the PACER system;
3. by accepting this exemption, Oluwaseun Cardoso agrees not to sell for profit any data obtained as a result of receiving this exemption;
4. Oluwaseun Cardoso is prohibited from transferring any data obtained as a result of receiving this exemption, including redistribution via internet based databases;
5. this exemption is valid until 16 months from the date of this Order.

This exemption may be revoked at the discretion of the Court at any time. A copy of this Order shall be sent to the PACER Service Center.

In Re: Application for Exemption from the Electronic Public Access Fees by Changhyun Ahn

This matter is before the Court upon the application and request by Changhyun Ahn for exemption from the fees imposed by the Electronic Public Access fee schedule adopted by the Judicial Conference of the United States Courts.

The Court finds that Changhyun Ahn, an individual researcher associated with the Chinese University of Hong Kong, falls within the class of users listed in the fee schedule as being eligible for a fee exemption. Additionally, Changhyun Ahn has demonstrated that an exemption is necessary in order to avoid unreasonable burdens and to promote public access to information. Accordingly, Changhyun Ahn shall be exempt from the payment of fees for access via PACER to the electronic case files maintained in this court, to the extent such use is incurred in the course of for her academic research involving civil penalties and environmental cases. Changhun Ahn shall not be exempt from the payment of fees incurred in connection with other uses of the PACER system in this court. Additionally, the following limitations apply:

1. this fee exemption applies only to Changhyun Ahn and is valid only for the purposes stated above;
2. this fee exemption applies only to the electronic case files of this court that are available through the PACER system;
3. by accepting this exemption, Changhyun Ahn agrees not to sell for profit any data obtained as a result of receiving this exemption;
4. Changhyun Ahn is prohibited from transferring any data obtained as a result of receiving this exemption, including redistribution via internet based databases;
5. this exemption is valid until December 31, 2026.

This exemption may be revoked at the discretion of the Court at any time. A copy of this Order shall be sent to the PACER Service Center.
