In the Matter of Appellate Liaison to the Marion County Small Claims Courts

The Marion County Small Claims Courts continue to evolve as courts of record, adopting innovative practices to respond to the eviction crisis, piloting ways to better serve pro se litigants, and promoting necessary legislative changes that will facilitate their continued development, among other critical endeavors. It is therefore appropriate to provide a liaison from Indiana's appellate courts to work with and support the Marion County Small Claims Courts in this work. I appoint Judge Robert R. Altice, Jr., of the Court of Appeals of Indiana, to this role.
