IN THE INTEREST OF A.J., A CHILD

On Appeal from the 303rd Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. DF-23-04703

ORDER

ROBERT D. BURNS, III CHIEF JUSTICE

Before the Court are three motions filed by appellant on December 20, 2024. First, is his motion for findings of fact and conclusions of law. A trial court must file findings of fact and conclusions of law within twenty days of a timely request. See TEX. R. CIV. P. 297. To be timely, a request for findings of fact and conclusions of law must be filed within twenty days after the judgment is signed. See id. 296. The record before this Court reflects that appellant did not file a request for findings of fact and conclusions of law. Accordingly, we DENY the motion.

Second, is appellant's motion for clarification regarding appellee's counsel. We GRANT the request to the extent that appellee's lead counsel is Theresa A. Goline with Goline & Roland Law Firm, PLLC. Should Ms. Goline no longer represent appellee, she must file a motion to withdraw as counsel with this Court.

Third, is appellant's motion for an extension of time to file his opening brief which is currently due on December 27, 2024. We GRANT the motion to the extent that we extend the deadline to January 27, 2025.
