Pursuant to Article VI, § 11 of the Arizona Constitution, the Arizona Supreme Court appoints the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court in each county. The Honorable Robert M. Brutinel, who currently serves as the Presiding Judge in Yavapai County, has been appointed to the Arizona Supreme Court. Therefore, the Court must appoint a judge to replace Judge Brutinel as the Presiding Judge. After consideration,

IT IS ORDERED that the Honorable David L. Mackey is appointed as Presiding Judge of the Superior Court in Yavapai County effective January 7, 2011. Judge Mackey shall serve at the pleasure of the Supreme Court through December 31, 2013.
